Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai says peace has been restored to the troubled communities in the southern part of the state.
El-Rufai also expressed satisfaction with the atmosphere in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area where cattle rustlers and armed herdsmen were said to have terrorised residents.
He said this on Monday in an interview with reporters shortly after receiving heads of security agencies in the state who visited him at the Government House in Kaduna.
The governor attributed the development to the deployment of more mobile policemen and soldiers to Southern Kaduna in the peak of the conflict.
He said government was doing everything possible to ensure sustain the peace, security and development of the area.
El-Rufai also lauded the efforts of the security agencies towards restoring peace in the communities and for ensuring a hitch free Sallah celebration.
He reiterated that all those who masterminded the Southern Kaduna conflict would be brought to justice no matter how long it takes.
In his response, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Agyole Abeh, thanked the governor for the commendations.
Abeh said police have deployed more personnel and armoured personnel carriers to Birnin Gwari and Southern Kaduna to compliment the efforts of those on ground.
