Troops of 33 Brigade, Nigerian Army, deployed at Forward Operation Base (FOB) Toro, Toro local government area of Bauchi State, have arrested three suspected kidnappers in the state.
Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, said two of the suspects were arrested at Badiko village in Toro local government area, “following a tip-off by well- meaning Nigerians.”
Usman gave the names of the suspects as Dayibu Abdullahi and Nasiru Adamu, saying the soldiers had also recovered a bag containing N439,000 and some personal effects from the suspects.
According to him, preliminary investigation shows that the amount was their share from a paid ransom of a recent kidnap incident.
He said the other suspect, Jibrin Dakam, was caught by the troops at Magama, also in Toro local government area, on the same day.
